I have been told by my good friend Rachel that I need to start blogging again. The problem is that I don't know what to write or if anyone even reads it. I guess it will be a way to share the stories that go with our pictures so that friends and family can feel a little closer to us as we continue to live far away.
We now live in GA and the transition for the kids could not have been any better. The transition for myself has not been as easy. I am definitely not the southern bell/proper soccer mom type. For example - I went to a scrapbooking gathering the other night and instead of cropping away and hanging out we sat down for a "proper" meal with real china and then took a "proper" dessert break at the table. It was too much "proper" for me for one night. Then there are the things that I love about how friendly everyone is and that the moms sit outside together while the kids play in the cul de sac. However, I am still trying to find how to "fit in" with the group. It is nice to have families around us again. I also love how polite everyone is but it makes me realize how much work we have with Lexi and Brogan to get them to say their Yes Ma'ams and No Sirs.
In all we love it here. I love being outdoors and the landscape. I can't wait to enjoy the summer and camping in the mountains. Until then I will have to get used to the properness (not sure if that is a word) and start making sure I always have coffee and some sort of pastry on hand in the event that a neighbor stops by.
Y'all won't even recognize this farm girl someday. (see - I am trying) :-)
